The pastoral world is supposedly idyllic. But even shepherds are only people, and pretty Clori drives not one, but two shepherds to distraction. The most charming of all Handel’s Italian cantatas is accompanied here by three dancers who embody the feelings around this story and everyday’s relationships.

“Chanson d'Amour”

Concept and performance: Aco Bišćević and Alberto Pagani

Duration: 55 Minutes

Today we are used to listening to music only in concert halls, but a lot of music was created for performance in other settings. What would you expect when visiting a social salon in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century? A lot of art. So intimately close that you could hear the singer's breath and smell the dancer's sweat. Painters, dancers, patrons, aristocrats, singers, writers and others met in the intimate spaces of wealthy hosts. There they sang and danced, ate and discussed, made love and got drunk, created and argued. Everyone could sing, play an instrument, recite or dance. Salons were a place where visitors filled their spirits with art, sharpened their minds in conversations and enjoyed wine. Thoughts, words, music, movement, images were connected in an artistic and social event. A music and dance production that wants to bring back the spirit of French salons back to life.

Oppression, Repression, Liberation, Celebration.
How many times have we left in the hands of third parties the power to choose in our stead; letting them be the ones to impose what is right and wrong on us? We have looked at those oppressions that, for comfort and quiet living we have never tried to counter to the point of repressing our true and essential needs and priorities. But there is always an escape route, and it is essential to be able to spot it and undertake it.
